The seventh meeting of the Institute of Mathematical Statistics Asia Pacific Rim Meeting (IMS-APRM) will take place in Hong Kong from June 13 to June 16, 2026, and will be hosted by The Chinese University of Hong Kong.

This event will serve as an exceptional global forum for scientific communication and collaboration among researchers from Asia and the Pacific Rim. It aims to foster connections and partnerships between researchers in this region and colleagues from around the world. Building upon the successes of previous meetings, the seventh meeting will enhance our ongoing efforts to fulfil our shared mission within the statistical profession.

Conference Venue

The conference will be held in the building called Cheng Yu Tung Building, which is next to the Exit B of MTR station called "University".

how to Get There

BY AIRPORT BUS AND TAXI/MTR TRAIN

You can first take airport bus route number A41 from the airport to Shatin Station. The bus runs from 05:35 to 23:59 at 20-30 minute intervals. The Shatin Central Bus Terminal is not the terminal stop for the bus, so ask the driver where to get off or pay attention to the announcement. The bus ride takes 65–70 minutes depending on traffic conditions. The fare is currently HK$23.4 payable on boarding bus in exact change. For details, please refer to

Then, from Shatin, you can continue by:

*either Taxi: From Shatin Station, you can take a taxi to the University. The fare is about HK$80. It takes about 15 minutes;

*or MTR train (not recommended if you have bulk luggage): Alternatively, from Shatin Station, you can take the train to the University Station (second stop from Shatin). The trains run every 5 to 10 minutes from 06:00 to 23:59. The train ride takes about 9 minutes. The fare is HK$4.6. Information on MTR service can be found at

There are three exits at University Station amongst which two are connected to the CUHK campus (Exits A and C). Take Exit B to conference venue. The CUHK campus map is accessible online at https://www.cuhk.edu.hk/english/campus/cuhk-campus-map.html.

TAXI

The trip from the airport to the conference venue is approximately 45 minutes with a fare of around HK$330. Most taxi drivers in Hong Kong understand some English. The following text (English and Chinese names of the host university) will come in handy:
